Spire Drop

Spin the tower and drop the ball through the gaps. Spire Drop is a free helix tower ball game. Drag to spin the tower, bounce through the gaps, dodge the dark segments and smash rings with a blazing fall.

How to play

A glowing ball bounces on its own on top of a tall tower made of stacked rings. The ball always stays at the front of the screen, so you turn the tower by dragging left or right anywhere. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or A and D. A mouse drag works too.

Every ring has at least one gap. Turn the tower so a gap lines up under the ball, and the next time it comes down the ball drops through to the ring below. Land on a bright segment and you simply bounce again. Land on a dark red segment and the run ends.

Some rings turn slowly on their own, so their gaps wander while you wait. Floating blue orbs between rings are slow-motion pickups: fly through one and time slows down for a few seconds, which gives you extra room to line up your next gap.

Blaze and smash

Fall through three rings in a row without bouncing and the ball catches fire. While it is blazing, the next ring it hits is smashed to pieces, even if it lands on a dark segment. After the smash the flame goes out and the count starts again, so use it to cross a nasty ring and then get ready to steer.

Scoring

  • Every ring you fall through is 1 point.
  • Smashing a ring with a blazing ball is 2 points.
  • A combo message shows how many rings you have passed since the last bounce.

Tips

  • Look one ring ahead. After you drop through a gap you only have a moment before the next ring, so start turning while you fall.
  • Gaps get narrower and dark segments get more common the deeper you go, so don’t rush the early rings. Patience and accuracy beat speed.
  • Chase the blaze when the next ring looks ugly. A three-ring fall turns the worst ring into a free pass.
  • Grab orbs when they are easy, not when they’re risky.

Why it’s fun

Spire Drop has one control and a lot of rhythm. Each bounce gives you a tiny window to make the right choice, and a long fall through the tower feels fantastic. Rings are generated endlessly, so every run is different, and your best score is saved on your device.
