Tap the arrows out in the right order. Arrow Out is a free arrow puzzle game. Tap each arrow to slide it off the board, but only when its path is clear. Hundreds of levels, 3 hearts each.
How to play
The board is covered in coloured arrows. Some are straight and some bend around corners like little snakes. Tap an arrow and it slides forward in the direction its head points, its body following behind, until it leaves the board.
There’s a catch: an arrow can only get out if nothing is in front of it. If another arrow sits anywhere between its head and the edge, it shoots forward, bumps into that arrow and bounces back. Both arrows flash red and you lose a heart.
Clear every arrow from the board to finish the level. Lose all three hearts and you try the same level again, with the same layout, so you can plan a better order.
Levels and scoring
There’s no warm-up: even level 1 is a packed board where most arrows are stuck behind others. Every few levels the board grows, up to its full size by level 7, and after that the arrows get longer, bend more often and form longer chains. Your level is saved on your device, so you always carry on where you left off.
Your best is the highest level you’ve cleared. Finish a level without losing a heart and it counts as a flawless clear.
Hints
Each level gives you two hints. Tap Hint (or press H on a keyboard) and one arrow that can leave right now starts to glow. Hints are best saved for the late game, when the board is dense and the free arrows are hard to spot.
Tips
- Look along the head, not the tail. Only the cells straight ahead of an arrow’s head matter. Where its body bends doesn’t change whether it can leave.
- Start at the edges. Arrows near the border that point outwards are almost always free, and removing them opens up lines for the ones behind.
- Follow the chain. If an arrow is blocked, look at what blocks it, and then at what blocks that one. Clearing the end of the chain first unlocks the rest.
- Take your time. There’s no timer. A wrong tap only costs a heart, and thinking is free.
